Here was my personal favorite “GS Wavetable Synth” conversions of songs:

Instrument 126 (Applause) had to be replaced with Organ 4, to fit better with the Mother 3 soundfontĪfter that, I used foobar with it’s Midi component addon to play the results, it’s ether ear-grating, or surprisingly accurate.

Brush Drumkit had to have some samples rearranged to remove the odd drum noises.

As present 127 on the Mother 3 soundfont is reserved for drums

The instrument “Gun shot” and the drumkit “Brush” were swapped around.

Some things had to be re-arranged for this to work:

Using a program called “Viena”, you can convert the DLS to SF2, and then modify the soundfont with Polyphone. Something I’ve noticed with the Mother 3 soundfont, that when it’s ripped with GUI music riper, the instruments used are somewhat in the same position with the Windows one (GM.dls)
